Allow me tell you about what the site will offer. As a hockey writer based in St. John’s I’m going to strive to bring in-depth coverage of the Winnipeg Jets’ AHL affiliate, The St. John's IceCaps. The AHL doesn’t get nearly the saturation of press-coverage that the NHL does, especially on the web, but NHL fans are amongst the savviest in sports and tend to look at their teams’ entire development system, not just the line-ups that hit the ice in the big league. My goal is to provide the reader with a look at the St. John’s club’s progress in Jets player-development, the team’s presence in the American Hockey League, and a broad scope of coverage across the minor league.
