The passing of the NHL trade deadline went as I expected for the Winnipeg Jets. Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff and his staff showed foresight and restraint by not giving into the pressure to load up their NHL team at the deadline. They chose to stick to the game-plan as it's been, thus-far: take the Atlanta team they inherited, add some proven talent from the Manitoba Moose franchise, then give them a full year's play to see what the team has and what it needs.
